There are some questions that I get asked frequently. Here are some of the more common queries…
What are the package levels for Maintenance and Cloud Hosting?
There are three levels of package for all services I provide: Stratus, Alto and Cirrus. Ready for a quick lesson about clouds?
Stratus is a low lying cloud (below 2,000 metres), Altostratus is a mid-lying cloud (2,000 metres to around 6,000 metres) and, you guessed it, Cirrus is a cloud that forms high in the sky (above 5,000 metres).
In essence, Stratus is the lower package, Alto is the middle package and Cirrus is the high package.
Do you offer logos and branding?
This is something that we are looking in to at the moment. We are looking to expand to offer logos and other graphical work, so please get in touch if you require any of these services.
Website Management questions
What kind of work is included in content updates?
Adding a new product to an eCommerce store, adding blog posts or updating event schedules for example. There is no heavy coding included within this package, simply what it states – content updates.
Are your backups compliant with GDPR?
Yes. Backups are stored in Europe using the Amazon S3 infrastructure.
What is included in the SEO checkups?
A report will be issued to show the movement over time, in Google, for your desired keywords. I will also look to provide some helpful insights, where possible, to help improve your rankings.
Can I have access to FTP?
No. To ensure maximum security over everything on the servers, only I will have FTP access. This is a fully managed service.
Website building questions
Can you build eCommerce stores?
Yes. I build eCommerce stores using WooCommerce, the most commonly used commerce solution for WordPress.
Are your prebuilt solutions unique?
The solutions that are built by myself will be sold to multiple people as these are templates, hence the reasonable price. If there is a template that you like, and you wish to purchase exclusive rights, please get in touch.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes you can. Simply divide the cost of your quote, or chosen website package, by twelve then add £5. This will be the monthly payment. £5 per month covers our additional charges incurred from our banking providers and the extra administrative time.
Worked example, a £600 website would be £55 per month for twelve months.
£600 / 12 = £50 + £5.
